HONOR has finally made its Android 17 plans much clearer. MagicOS 11 is the company’s next major software release, and the rollout reaches far beyond the newest Magic flagships. Recent foldables, older Magic models, HONOR 200 and 300-series phones, X-series devices, tablets and selected wearables all appear on the upgrade roadmap.
The Android version itself is only part of the story. MagicOS 11 brings a much more translucent visual style, revised animation architecture, deeper YOYO automation and a broader push toward system-level AI. For existing owners, though, the most important question is simpler: is my HONOR phone actually getting Android 17?
The current rollout plan is centered on China, so global timing can vary by country, carrier and exact model variant. Even so, the roadmap gives us the clearest picture yet of which devices HONOR is preparing for the next major software generation.
Key takeaway
HONOR has confirmed a broad MagicOS 11 rollout based on Android 17, covering recent Magic flagships, foldables, N-series phones, X-series models, tablets and selected wearables. Here is the full device roadmap and what changes in the new software.
The first MagicOS 11 wave starts with newer flagships
The first group received early-access availability from September 15. As expected, the newest flagship phones and foldables are at the front of the queue.
- HONOR Magic V6
- HONOR Magic V5
- HONOR Magic8
- HONOR Magic8 Pro
- HONOR Magic8 Pro Air
- HONOR Magic8 RSR Porsche Design
- HONOR Magic7
- HONOR Magic7 Pro
- HONOR Magic7 RSR Porsche Design
- HONOR WIN
- HONOR WIN RT
- HONOR GT Pro
- HONOR 600 Pro
- HONOR 600 Super Edition
- HONOR 600 Vitality Edition
- HONOR MagicPad3 Pro
- HONOR MagicPad3 Pro 12.3
- HONOR Watch 6 Plus
This first wave shows that HONOR is treating foldables as first-class software products rather than niche devices that receive major updates later. The Magic7 generation is also still close enough to the front of the queue to get the new platform quickly.

Software support is increasingly part of the flagship experience. Buyers now expect an expensive phone to stay current for years, and the speed of major Android updates has become almost as important as the hardware that launches inside the box.
A second group is already moving through internal beta testing
HONOR is also bringing MagicOS 11 to a broader group through internal beta enrollment. This list includes several important phones that are one or two generations older than the newest flagships.
- HONOR Magic V3
- HONOR Magic6
- HONOR Magic6 Pro
- HONOR Magic6 Ultimate
- HONOR Magic6 RSR Porsche Design
- HONOR 400
- HONOR 400 Pro
- HONOR Power2
- HONOR WIN Turbo
- HONOR 500
- HONOR 500 Pro
- HONOR 500 Pro Molly 20th Anniversary Edition
- HONOR MagicPad3
- HONOR MagicPad3 12.5
- HONOR MagicPad2
- HONOR Tablet GT
- HONOR Tablet GT Pro
- HONOR Tablet GT2 Pro
- HONOR Tablet V9
- HONOR Tablet 10 Pro
This is arguably one of the most reassuring parts of the roadmap because it shows that MagicOS 11 is not limited to 2026 hardware. Devices such as the Magic V3 and Magic6 family still have a clear path to Android 17.
October and November bring the biggest expansion
The next major stage arrives across October and November, when HONOR plans to open the upgrade to a much wider catalog.
- HONOR Robot Phone
- HONOR Magic Vs3
- HONOR Magic V2
- HONOR Magic V2 Ultimate
- HONOR Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design
- HONOR Magic V Flip2
- HONOR Magic5
- HONOR Magic5 Pro
- HONOR Magic5 Ultimate
- HONOR GT
- HONOR 300
- HONOR 300 Pro
- HONOR 300 Ultra
- HONOR 200
- HONOR 200 Pro
- HONOR 100
- HONOR 100 Pro
- HONOR 90 GT
- HONOR Power
- HONOR X80 Pro Max
- HONOR X80i
- HONOR X70
- HONOR X70 Refresh
- HONOR X70 Pro Max
- HONOR Tablet 20
- HONOR Tablet 10
- HONOR Watch 5
- HONOR Watch 5 Pro
- HONOR Watch 5 Ultra
The inclusion of the Magic5 family is particularly notable. It means HONOR is still bringing its newest interface and Android foundation to hardware several generations behind the current Magic lineup.
The HONOR 200 and 300 families are equally important because they reached a wider mainstream audience. Bringing Android 17 to those models makes MagicOS 11 relevant to far more users than a flagship-only update ever would.
MagicOS 11 introduces a much more glass-like interface
The most obvious change is visual. HONOR has rebuilt large parts of the interface around transparency, soft refraction, highlights and fluid animation. Navigation bars, lock-screen elements, floating controls and other surfaces now appear more layered and dimensional.
HONOR describes the visual engine as more than a simple blur effect. The interface uses multiple layers of effects and adjustable rendering parameters so light, transparency and movement can react more naturally during interaction.
It is one of the biggest visual changes MagicOS has received in years. Some users will prefer the older, flatter interface, but MagicOS 11 clearly aims for a more expressive and premium identity.
The redesign is supposed to feel faster too
A heavier visual interface only works if the phone remains responsive. HONOR has therefore paired the redesign with updated system architecture, including its newer Hummingbird framework.
The company says application launch responsiveness improves by at least 15% under its test conditions. The architecture is also designed to make transitions, multitasking and frequent interactions feel more immediate while preventing complex transparency effects from becoming a performance penalty.
That balance matters. A premium interface cannot simply look polished in screenshots; it has to stay smooth during hundreds of small interactions every day.
YOYO is turning into an automation system
The other major MagicOS 11 story is AI. HONOR is expanding YOYO from a conversational assistant into something closer to an operating-system agent that can remember instructions and execute actions automatically.
YOYO Tasks can wait for a condition before acting. The trigger might be arriving at a location, opening an application, reaching a certain time or changing a device state. HONOR says the framework supports dozens of trigger types and more than one hundred categories of actions.
That changes the assistant from something users actively summon into something that can operate quietly in the background.
Longer YOYO workflows are becoming much more ambitious
On supported devices in China, HONOR says the new YOYO generation can handle long workflows extending beyond 100 steps. The company is also connecting the assistant to a large ecosystem of third-party AI services.
The practical goal is to reduce repetitive work. Instead of manually opening multiple apps and repeating the same sequence, the user can describe an outcome once and let the system manage more of the workflow.
The exact feature set will vary by region, and some of the deepest YOYO integrations may remain China-specific at first. But the direction is clear: MagicOS is moving from AI features inside individual apps toward AI that coordinates the operating system itself.
MagicOS 11 can surface information before you search for it
HONOR is also making YOYO more proactive with everyday information. The system can recognize items such as pickup codes, travel notifications and appointment details and surface them without forcing the user to dig through messages or individual apps.
Calendar assistance follows the same idea. Supported ticketing, booking and conversation information can be recognized and turned into reminders or scheduled items.
These are not the kind of features that dominate a launch presentation, but they are exactly the kind of small improvements that can make software feel smarter over time.
Storage efficiency is another quieter upgrade
MagicOS 11 also works on storage efficiency. HONOR is using improved file compression and migration tools to reduce the space consumed by system data and older files.
That matters most on devices that have already lived through several major Android upgrades. System files, cached content and app data can gradually consume a surprising amount of capacity, so reclaiming storage without forcing users to delete personal files is a useful quality-of-life improvement.
What global HONOR owners should know
The detailed roadmap currently reflects HONOR’s China rollout. That means global owners should not assume every listed date applies directly to their region. Carrier testing, local software certification and feature availability can all shift the schedule.
Still, the device list gives a strong indication of where HONOR is investing development work. Owners of recent models such as the Magic V6, Magic V5, Magic7 Pro, Magic V3, Magic6 Pro, Magic V2, Magic5 Pro, HONOR 400 Pro and HONOR 200 Pro now have a much clearer picture of the Android 17 upgrade path.
PhonesGate verdict
MagicOS 11 looks like one of HONOR’s most important software updates in years. Android 17 provides the foundation, but the bigger changes are the new glass-like interface, faster system architecture and a YOYO assistant that is moving toward real automation.
The device list is just as important as the features. HONOR is not restricting the update to its newest hardware, and the inclusion of older foldables, Magic5 devices, HONOR 200-series phones and several tablets gives the rollout much wider relevance.
Global users still need to wait for region-specific timing, but if your device appears on the roadmap, MagicOS 11 is no longer a vague future promise. HONOR has now shown exactly where its Android 17 generation is heading next.
